Rehearsals - March 6th

For the following weeks of rehearsals, we had continued blocking the scenes and explored the positioning of the Pillow man and where he would be most effective. We also did various exercises linking to our themes in the scene. For mine it's anger so I had to develop it through movement over exaggerating during the levels 1-10. For example, I had used levels to show where anger could have taken me. It could have been as a sign of dominance as there is a need to let  out my anger on something or someone (maybe myself in this scenario) or it can be a sign of weakness where my anger can control me and I become a victim to the actual emotion due to the event that may have took place to lead up to the anger. We had to also figure out how we could make each scene vary in movement and if there would be a need to balance out the vocal range when it comes to expressing the feelings and emotions throughout the monologue. In order for this to be explored, we had to pin point different parts of the monologue and note what parts should be exaggerated and to what level of our themes. For example, when I begin to talk about my friend Percy, that is when I begin to get attached to what I am talking about and what he did is what increases my level of anger.
